Opium Addiction Treatment Center
Opium addiction treatment doesn't just involve treating just the addiction, it also requires an assessment of the reasons for addiction. Although the first step in our treatment programs is physical detoxification, it alone is not sufficient to improve the lifestyle and patterns of an addict. Recovery requires a full team of experienced professionals extending from doctors who are experts at monitoring the physical side effects from detox to mental health counselors who can help patients work through the emotional and mental side-effects of addiction. Finally, a patient must be given the tools to help him or her understand how to move forward and function in the "real world," and avoid triggers to relapse. The goal of our program is not just to help a patient with a successful in-house recovery – it's to see patients thrive for the rest of their lives.
After performing a comprehensive psychological assessment with each of our patients, we will be able to determine what kind of regime will work best for an individual recovery. Our opium addiction treatment programs may include:
- Medication
- Detoxification
- Individual Therapy
- Group Therapy
- Family Therapy
- Counseling
- 12-Step Meetings
- Other therapeutic options, such as acupuncture or meditation.
Through therapy and counseling, patients are taught how to acknowledge their problems and respond to them in healthy ways that do not include drug or alcohol abuse. In these therapy sessions, be it privately or in a group, patients are allowed the chance to address their addictions and discover the link between their emotional thoughts or feelings and their opium addiction. Treating patients' mental health issues in these programs, in addition to treating their physical addictions, gives them the best chance at a successful recovery.
